GTA IMG Tool

GTA IMG Tool is a tool that allows us to modify IMG files of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. With this, we can replace texture models in TXD and DFF format to introduce mods.

Among the mods that we can introduce in GTA with GTA IMG Tool, we find new cars, textures for characters or more detailed weapons. The program is very easy to use. First, we have to select the file we want to modify, and replace it with the mod we have chosen.

It is important to make a backup copy of all files to be replaced. If we do not do it, we run the risk of not being able to open the game because the mod we have introduced is not compatible or we have the wrong file.

GTA IMG Tool is not compatible with the most modern GTAs, but it is a simple tool that allows us to modify the files of the classic GTAs quite quickly. The tool only works for computer GTAs. In the case of wanting to modify any of the Android versions, there is an app of the same name that has the same functionality: being able to install mods on the mobile version of these open-world sandbox games.
